We localized the price for each country in this picture
We're trying as best as we can to keep our prices fair for everyone. You can't reach this goal by simply converting the price into other currencies since the purchasing power and the cost of living vary significantly between countries. Instead, you have to compare what you can buy with that currency in a country. Since there is no straightforward formula for converting prices that way, we've invested quite a lot of time localizing our prices for more than 170 countries by looking up representative products.
Niagara Launcher tells me my price was reduced by x% How is that percentage calculated?
Let's look at an example: Suppose you're living in India and Niagara Launcher displays you the message that we reduced our prices by 85%. How do we calculate this rate? Since our business is based in Germany, we are using our German price for reference (e.g., 29.99€). When we adjust our prices for India, we adjust our prices, we look at our German price and convert it to Indian Rupees (e.g., if 1€ was worth 84.34₹, we roughly got ₹2529.36). We use the currency conversation rate reported by Google Finance on the day; we did this on November 29th, 2022. Then, we look up the prices of representative products and the overall costs of living in India. Based on that, we adjusted our Indian price (e.g., to₹357,24). Lastly, we round our price (e.g., to ₹360 because it looks better than ₹357,24). We can now calculate how much our final price (₹360) is cheaper than the price we got just by converting our German price to Indian rupees (₹2529.36): It's slightly over 85%, hence our 85% price reduction message.
Price Decreases
As a result of heavy currency fluctuations or because some countries' economies took a significant hit, our updated price localization can make the Niagara Pro subscription cheaper than before for some countries. As a result, we decreased our prices in two instances:

What if I had already bought Niagara Pro before?
Early Access members got Niagara Pro cheaper in most countries and can keep Niagara Pro for the same price. If you bought the yearly subscription before a price increase, you can keep the subscription at the old, lower price. If you bought the yearly subscription before a price decrease, the subscription will renew at the new, lower price.
